Common problems
Nothing shows in OBS
The bottom bar says how many overlay pages are open. With none, check the Browser Source's address in Scenes. With pages open, check that the active profile is the scene's, that panic is off and that the action is ticked in the scene.
The camera does not show
The line under the camera's name in Customize says why, and so does pre-flight: none is chosen; the camera is switched off (its icon in the status bar is crossed out, and a press turns it on); another program holds it, most often OBS's own camera source; it is not connected; or Windows keeps cameras from desktop programs, which Settings, Privacy and security, Camera, "Let desktop apps access your camera" changes.
Trying an event before going live
In a terminal (or the Console's prompt), vovo simulate follow user=lunafox sets a follow off as if it had happened, on the overlays open in OBS: what is not given takes the editor's sample values, and a field's name with a typo gets a suggestion. It goes on air like the real one, so use it before the live.
The button did nothing
The Console, in the bottom bar or with Ctrl+J, says why: the action is in no scene, the profile is not the active one, or the snippet failed (with its line).
A notification sound went out on the live
Pre-flight warns when OBS captures the private sounds' device. Change the device in Notifications.
Twitch disconnected
In Integrations, connect again. The bell tells when Twitch asks for a new sign-in.
Undoing a change
In Audit, "Changes" lists each change with Undo beside it. The backup, in Settings, brings everything back from an earlier day.
Seeing what happened
The Console is kept in a file too: "Open the file", in its head, opens it in Notepad (or the program Windows has for it), to search and filter it there, and in a terminal vovo log shows the last lines, even with Vovó closed. In Audit, "Open as text" does the same with who did what.
Its prompt takes the same commands as a terminal: ↓ at an empty prompt lists them all, each with what it does, a letter or two narrow them, and Tab takes the one chosen.
Reporting a problem or an idea
Report…, in Settings, About, and in the tray icon's menu, sends a problem or an idea to whoever makes Vovó. Before anything goes you see all of it, and each thing Vovó adds has a switch: the Windows version, how Vovó is set up, and, with a problem, the last lines of the console's log. The log may name your actions or a window you shared: read it there, and switch it off if you would rather keep it. Nothing is ever sent by itself.
